Auger Torque dealers band together in bushfire rebuild effort

With much of Australia finally having received wide-spread and long overdue rain it’s easy to forget the dire situation a lot of our country was in only a few weeks ago. The lawns in major cities like Brisbane & Sydney have greened up nicely, the smoke has finally cleared, the bush fires have been extinguished but for many the cleanup and rebuild has only just begun and will take years to complete.

I am sure we’d all agree how amazing it is to see communities and businesses come together with many appeals around the country raising much needed funds for those affected. Quite a few of Auger Torque Australia’s dealers also got directly involved and wherever we could we supported in getting local contractors working on the rebuild as quickly as possible.

One of the heaviest impacted areas was Kangaroo Island in South Australia. The blaze is thought to have been started by a lightning strike in late December and burned over 210,000 hectares. Much of the Flinders Chase National Park was devastated by the mega fire and caused significant stock losses for local farmers and pine industry. Over 60 houses and hundreds of buildings were destroyed, so when our dealer RAM Equipment in Adelaide contacted us to see if we can help out with some Earth Drills & Augers we were only too happy to help out. Jeff from Trenchless Pipelaying Contractors has since drilled over 7000 holes with Auger Torque Auger & Drill packages supplied via RAM equipment at a heavily discounted price.

Adam from Burder Ag Attachments in Wangaratta was another one of our longstanding and valued dealers who reached out to us to see if we could help local farmers with discounted augers to help rebuild fencing infrastructure. Of course we agreed and our team worked together enthusiastically to fabricate and supply a number of custom auger bits in record time.

It’s great to see how connected many of our dealers are to their local community which allowed Auger Torque to get involved on a national level in the rebuild effort. We would like to say a massive thank you to all of those involved in the rebuild of our country, to those who fought the fires tirelessly for weeks on end and of course wish those affected all the best in their recovery effort.
